As one of Manchester’s most pro-active firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers it gives us great pleasure to announce our 2007 Autumn/Winter Events Schedule. As always we aim to provide invaluable information and advice to our clients and the South Manchester business community.
Our free seminar series earlier in 2007 was a huge success with large numbers of businesses attending. As usual the team of presenters, led by Tony Collier, were able to provide helpful and clear information on a range of vital business topics.

Charity Quiz Night
We are inviting clients, colleagues and local businesses to come along and enjoy an evening with us at this special charity event.
A quiz night, buffet and bar has been organised to help raise funds for The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.
When prompted on why the event is important to Milner Boardman, Tony Collier said: “The Charity offers free adventure breaks and activities to children who are disadvantaged by illness, disability and poverty, from all over the North West. I’m sure any one in the region would want to help such an important cause.”
“The more people that come along the more funds we can raise to ensure children have the highest quality of life.”
Please do your best to organise a team (max. of five people) at a cost of £50 per team.
There will be a free buffet provided and lots of prizes.

Milner Boardman Appoints High Flyer
Milner Boardman Ltd has appointed Richard Cunningham as Client Relationship Manager.
Richard, who left a role as Corporate Tax Manager at Deloitte & Touche, chose to join Milner Boardman in spite of numerous offers from other competing firms.
Richard qualified at Baker Tilly and then went on to Deloitte & Touche where he was working on tax compliance and tax planning for large multi-national groups.
Tony Collier, Managing Director of Milner Boardman commented “We view Richard as a significant asset to the practice and to our growing client portfolio. We believe in helping businesses to grow effectively and tax efficiently and our growth in turnover demonstrates that we are doing a good job.”
Amsterdam Marathon
Tony Collier will be facing his toughest challenge yet, he will be taking on his first ever full marathon in Amsterdam on 21 October.
When asked why he was doing it, Tony said “I always said I would never run a marathon because it’s just too far. However, the thought of using the event to try to raise some much needed funds for our favourite charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), is the driving force behind everything that I am doing.
