Press Release - Children's Adventure Farm

PRESS RELEASE

LOCAL BUSINESS RAISES OVER £5,000 FOR CHILRENS ADVENTURE FARM

Broadheath based Milner Boardman, business and tax advisers, have, with the support of

clients, staff and sponsors raised over £5,000 for CAFT. Managing Director, Tony

Collier, ran the Chicago Marathon in October and the firm recently held a charity quiz

night in Bowdon. Jim Hancock, former political editor of the BBC and a patron of CAFT,

acted as quizmaster.

Tony commented “This is a wonderful charity doing great work for disadvantaged

Children ranging from those in need of respite from difficult home lives right through to

terminally ill kids. They have to raise over £800,000 just to open the doors and

all this has to be raised by the charity as they have no public funding. That and the fact

that CAFT is a local charity near to our offices in Altrincham, is the reason that we have

chosen to support them. Whilst the marathon was really hard work in searing heat and

involved months of training, the quiz night was great fun attended by over 120

competitors from other firms and our clients throughout the South Manchester area. I

would like to thank everybody who contributed whether that be by sponsorship or

donation of raffle prizes, we couldn’t have done it without you.”
